Old Friends

Spent the evening in Carlsbad, Ca with some old friends of Joy's. She went to high school with Jeff. He and his wife Cindy, together for 29 years(married for 29, together for longer) Own a high end furniture store in Carlsbad.... We had a blast! Way too many margaritas!

Trip back to VT

New Friends and Associates in Southern Cali

Today, we met with Mike Gross and his girl friend, Jen Knight. Mike signed up today and placed his order for his Beyond Freedom! Congratulations Mike!

Both Mike and Jen are into music. Mike has a band and Jen teaches singing and is a singer/song writer.

Dogs and Daughters

Great weekend in Oceanside. My daughter, Jessica and her husband, Storm drove down to the LA area out of San Francisco to visit and to save a dog marked to be put down in the LA shelter. The dog, a female 8 month old pit bull/lab mix had been hit by a car a month ago. Since no one had claimed her and being part pit bull (and the beliefs around that type of dog, had her being scheduled to be put down. Jess and Storm swooped in(after driving all night) and saved her Saturday morning. Her name is now Micha. What a sweet animal. Obviously she had been around people, is very soft and gentle and loves everyone. They now have a wonderful pet! Good job Jess & Storm.

On another note, I got to spend time with my one and only daughter. For those of you who are parents, is there any better feeling in the world? Being with your child, feeling the pride for who they are being in the world! Best part of life!

Rocks on the West Coast Beaches

Joy is collecting rocks from the beach. We are used to collecting shells on the east coast beaches.... In this stretch of beaches running between LA and San Diego, the rock are abundant.... Greens, blues, orange rocks.... Joy must have collected 30+ lbs....so far! Dave & Joy

Self-Realization Fellowship

Just 10 miles south of us is the Self-Realization Fellowship Temple and Ashram Center established by Paramahansa Yogananda. He was given this beautiful piece of land on a bluff overlooking the Pacific ocean. The gardens are beautiful. We went yesterday and it was cold & very windy. We plan to visit again before we leave. The many gardens, Koi ponds, and benches make for some amazing areas to meditate and to visualize.

Paramahansa Yogananda established the Self-Realization Fellowship Ashram Center in Encinitas in 1937. Here, at the Hermitage where he lived for many years, he wrote his Autobiography of a Yogi, widely regarded today as a modern spiritual classic.

We were reminded this morning that you get what you focus on.... so to generate more abundance in your life, focus on all the good you already have. Dave & Joy

Easter Day

Hi Everyone, hope you all had a wonderful Easter Holiday.... we stayed a bit laid back, visiting the San Diego Zoo and the Glider Port (again!).

Being in a different part of the country for a couple of months really has allowed us to get out of our routines and see life from a different and new perspective. We recommend it to everyone!

Fortunately we have a business that allows us to do this.... Anyone can do this!

Torry Pines Glider Port

This was fun for me.... Joy and I took a 59 mile scenic tour all around San Diego..... From the water front up the coast to La Jolla, back thru Mission Beach, to Old Town.... the coolest part was up in Torry Pines.... There is this glider port that had a bunch of Para Gliders, Hang gliders and real gliders taking off from this cliff, a few hundred feet above the Black Beaches.... (the Black Beaches is a clothes optional beach! Sure, I'd fly over those too!) If you love flight... this was it in its natural form.....

Our Weekend to the Wine Country

Well, Temecula, CA is the southern wine country of California. We had a blast.... Great wines, then we blow a tire on the car, had AAA come out..... good thing we had the wine first !

Oceanside, CA

Hi Everyone,

Having a blast here in Oceanside, CA. Here is the latest photo..... I did decide to shave my head! What a wonderful freeing feeling ! I've been keeping it out of the sun most of the day!
